Tiny Home, Huge Impact: ½ûÂþÌìÌà Invites Community to Open House

APR. 28, 2025 – WOODSTOCK, NB: After months of hard work and collaboration, students from ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ’s Plumbing, Carpentry, and Electrical programs at the Woodstock campus will proudly unveil their completed tiny home as part of their experiential learning during an open house on Tuesday, April 29 at 4:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.  Made possible by a generous $50,000 donation from Nigel Drake and his wife Carolyn, this project gave students real-world, hands-on experience and aims to address the growing need for affordable housing in the community.

The cozy, beautifully designed 14’ x 32’ home—featuring one bedroom, one bathroom, and built to modern efficiency and sustainability standards—will be open for bidding. Once sold, the proceeds will fund the next student build, creating a sustainable cycle of education and community support.

The public is invited to celebrate the next generation of skilled trades professionals and their success by stepping inside the tiny home, meeting the talented students behind every nail, wire and pipe, and experiencing the impact of community coming together under one (tiny) roof.
