½ûÂþÌìÌà Alumni Recognition Awards - How to Nominate

Do you know an ½ûÂþÌìÌà graduate making a difference? Nominate them for an Alumni Recognition Award!


Nomination Period

January 1 - February 28


Eligibility

Anyone can nominate an ½ûÂþÌìÌà graduate or apprenticeship completer.

Exclusions:

  • Serving politicians
  • Current ½ûÂþÌìÌà employees
  • ½ûÂþÌìÌà Board of Governors members
  • Self-nominations

How to Nominate

  1. Complete and submit the nomination form.
  2. Provide at least one letter of reference from someone familiar with the nominee’s accomplishments.
  3. Include supporting details such as:
    • Reasons for nominating the candidate
    • Examples of achievements and contributions
    • Additional letters of support (optional)

Confidentiality: All nominations are kept confidential. Only the names of recipients will be publicized.


What We Look For

Nominations are evaluated primarily on the nominee’s:

  • Story and impact – how they have made a difference in their field, community, or beyond
  • Community involvement – always a plus and strengthens the nomination
  • Success at a young age or as a recent graduate

Selection Process

The committee reviews all nominations confidentially.

Evaluations are based on:

  • Nomination form
  • Letter of reference
  • Supporting documents
  • Recipients are chosen for their impact, achievements, and alignment with ½ûÂþÌìÌà values.
  • All decisions are final.

Awards & Presentation

  • Four awards are presented each year to outstanding ½ûÂþÌìÌà alumni.
  • Recipients are honoured at an ½ûÂþÌìÌà event celebrating their achievements.
  • Ceremony details are shared with award winners after selections are finalized.

The President and CEO of ½ûÂþÌìÌà reserves the right to revoke any award if future circumstances arise that could reflect unfavourably on ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ’s reputation or image.
